Margaret Chadee, B.B.A, MEd

Founder and CEO, Chrystal Edward-Smith, OCT is a certified French and Math teacher with over 5 years of experience, teaching at the elementary and secondary school level. She holds a Bachelor’s and Mater’s degree in French Translation, a Master’s degrees in Teaching and is currently pursuing her PhD in Math and Statistics.

 

English teacher and student exceptionalities specialist, Margaret Chadee oversees the development of teaching content and accommodations to address the needs of all learners. Her experience in mental health and educational leadership coupled with her passion and dedication for teaching, have made her a sought-after instructor for students from Elementary to High School levels both locally and abroad.

Turgun Ergashov,

European Languages Lead

Turgun Ergashov, OCT is a certified Translator and French language instructor. As an authority in world languages, his focus is on helping students achieve mastery of oral and written communication in French. He is experienced working with students at the elementary to secondary level and helps to guide their unique perspectives on learning and understanding French.

Andre Venor, Haitian Creole Language Lead

Andre Venor is a native French Creole speaker with a passion for teaching and service to his community. His love for language and instruction complements his accessible approach to Haitian Creole in its cultural context. Andre has a background in Finance and Training and holds a Bachelors degree from New York University.

Flore Tamatcho Djeumeni is an elementary teacher with over 10 years of experience with young children. She holds a Masters degree in French and is known for her gentle, fun and easy approach to teaching and learning.

Chantal

Agbahungba MA, MPIA

Specialized Education French teacher, Chantal Agbahungba is skilled at working with our middle school to high school students. Her kind and compassionate approach to teaching helps to guide student learning as they transition from middle to high school. Her many years of teaching both in Canada and abroad make her a valuable an asset to our team. Chantal holds bilingual masters degrees in Geography and Public and International Affairs, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies from York University.

 
 

Montreal-based tutor Jenel Ricci exemplifies the EdwardSmith teaching philosophy. Her love for language and well-balanced, skillful approach to teaching has led her to become a favourite among non-native speakers of English. Her linguistic talents go beyond French and include Dutch, German, Italian and Spanish. Her wealth of knowledge of language usage in context has distinguished her as an instructor and industry blogger. Whenever she is not teaching Jenel can be found enjoying a good movie in German, of course, and enjoying the friendly skies on a plane ride to the Caribbean.

Taher

Berenjian BA Education, Translation, MA Linguistics

Multilingual teacher and translation specialist, Taher works for the public school board as an occasional teacher. He holds degrees in Education, Linguistics and Translation. A true language prodigy, in addition to being fully bilingual in French and English, he can communicate in over ten languages at varying degrees of fluency. As a tutor at EdwardSmith, Taher is known for his differentiated approach to teaching, as he regularly infuses music into his lessons, and his hard-work and dedication. His students enjoy his enthusiasm and genuine way of communicating with them during sessions.

Daniela Bustamante, MA, OCT.

 
 

Ms. Bustamante is a Junior to Intermediate Elementary School teacher in the public school system. Her fun-loving approach to helping students learn has earned her the nickname “The Lovable Ms. Bustamente”. As a duly qualified and trained History and Spanish teacher, she is the perfect addition to our English and Spanish team at EdwardSmith. Ms. Bustamente exemplifies high quality teaching and service at is best, and is the tutor you have been looking for to help your child succeed.
